Our Workbook ‘Nigam English Balbharati for Std 1’ is designed to realise the following objectives. Through a variety of tools, we have tried to shift emphasis from mere testing to holistic learning. It aims at ensuring that the students bid adieu to rote learning, cramming and relentless mugging to joyful learning. Considering both kinds of evaluation we have divided chapters into sections with specific purposes. Teachers have all the freedom to modify the section as per the requirement to evaluate the students.
